What I did instead of going to ConFusion... (warning - very, very boring)
Fri Night - had two - hour commute home. This usually takes me 30-45 minutes. Went to bed early.
Sat - Sorted through baby clothes (new and hand-me-downs). Washed said clothes. Had a disagreement w/husband about whether or not to use bleach. Didn't use bleach. Took a nap. Had mattresses delivered. Took a nap. Had carpet guy come in and put carpet in the room with no carpet because previous owners had let their cat use room as a litterbox. Got excited about being done with room and went to Lowe's for switchplates. Made poor switchplate choices. Was disappointed. Looked at other work I had to do. Looked at couch. Looked at work. Looked at couch. Went to sleep on couch.
Sun - Was badly punctured by small cat. Small cat is a spaz. Did final critique of mss. Had lots of practice contractions. Had enough practice - ready for the final. Went to Chinese restaurant for dinner w/brother- and sister-in-law. Was introduced to a new, very tasty dish. Brother-in-law has had Chinese girlfriend and always knows the best things on the menu. Stayed up too late laughing and talking.
You are wrong. Bleach was the best choice. Switchplates: Told you so!

What was the new dish?

You know, I should let it go, but I really want to hear more about the burning clorox debate. What gives?

Erica, you are a culinary tease. Ditto on Joe's question. Hope the dish doesn't involve bleach. Liked the couch-work dilemma bit :-) Sorry to hear you got bit. . .

Whoops - sorry about the delay - busy week at work last week.
Clorox debate - to use or not to use. John is very pro bleach and I'm not so much in favor for its use on newborn clothes. That, and a lot of things say 'no chlorine bleach'.
New Dish - I can't remember the exact name, but it was boiled chicken with green onions. A very tender, delicious, subtle dish that completely lacks the more 'typical' sauces. Instead, it's got a light oil-based flavoring and looks like it should taste like plain boiled chicken but doesn't. I highly recommend it and the garlic spinach at Great Lakes. Together even!
