Maybe it was a mistake to take December off . . .
I'm having trouble getting back into steady writing. Part of it is that the Celtic Irish fantasy novel takes a bit of research (you think?) and I keep having to pause to look things up, but it's also because the good habits have lapsed.
The outline is starting to progress nicely, however. I caught and solved a problem in the structure--the book was too vignette-y, and I had to work out a way to tie all the little stories into the main plot--and now I'm having fun exploring Celtic Ireland during a full-blown Faery invasion.

Is this a new Celtic fantasy? Or is this the one with the harpist that you showed us bits of many years ago?

It's a new Celtic fantasy--same setting, different plot and characters. I thought about retooling the earlier piece, but my target is Harlequin's Luna line, meaning my main character has to be female. The plot of the earlier piece just wouldn't work as a result. (Celtic women couldn't be bards, for one thing.) So this one is something new.
